Breast anatomy - the relationship of breast tissue to surrounding musculo-skeletal structures and lymphatic drainage of the chest wall

Physiology of lactation

Healthy variations in breast tissue

Skin lesions

Fibrocystic breast tissue & Simple Cysts

Breast pathology & surgery

Identifying characteristics of breast cancer

Fine needle aspiration, biopsy, lumpectomy, mastectomy, breast reconstruction, breast reduction and implants

Therapeutic indications for breast massage

Obtaining informed consent for breast massage

Performing breast massage

Teaching clients how to perform empowering self breast exams

The class is taught by a Susanrachel Condon, a licensed midwife and massage therapist. Participants are expected to practice and receive work as demonstrated under supervision by the instructor. It is open to massage therapists and other healthcare professionals without massage training or experience.
